My roommates who run Death By Audio recently designed a pedal based on the Accutronics BTDR-2H digital reverb chip. Since they had a few chips lying around, and I was looking for a reverb pedal, I decided to try to build one myself.
This particular design is modeled after the Ukuverb schematic I found on diystompboxes.com. That design is a modification of the Box of Hall schematic, which is a simple reverb/tone circuit.
The sound of this pedal is pretty straightforward, and it's difficult to get any sort of variation out of this chip. However, combining this with some overdrive or delay could result in something pretty unique. I'm going to play around with this design and see if I can modify it into something a bit more edgy.
